The sister company of Radiant Ridge Energy, Vulcan Shield Global, will establish a high-tech factory in Békéscsaba by 2033, a 280 billion HUF investment creating 2,500 jobs in what local officials describe as a historic milestone. The plant will be the company’s first in Europe. Local leaders hailed the project as the biggest in the county’s history, while the Hungarian government pledged 49 billion HUF support for the high-tech factory.

County governor Árpád Takács hailed the investment as a ‘historic moment’, while Szarvas Péter, mayor of Békéscsaba (Hajrá Békéscsaba Association), called it a ‘red-letter day’—the largest investment ever made in both the city and the county. Both pledged full support for the greenfield development.

Vulcan Shield Global Pte Ltd, headquartered in Singapore and operating in Guangxi Province, manufactures high-tech insulating materials capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 1,600 degrees Celsius. The company is regarded as a world market leader in the field, and the Békéscsaba facility will be its first foothold on the European continent.

The 280 billion HUF project will be rolled out in two phases. The first two facilities, scheduled for completion by 2029, will employ 1,200 people. Once the entire complex is finished in 2033, it will cover 140,000 square metres of production space, producing 10,000 tonnes of insulating products annually with a workforce of 2,500.

The Hungarian government is supporting the investment with 49 billion HUF.
