2.1GW Renewable Power Development

Our Chinese entity Rong Rong Energy successfully secured 1,606 MW (1.6 GW) of onshore wind power and 550MW solar power development rights in Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region through competitive allocation processes in 2024.

China's Largest Mountain Wind Portfolio

Our Chinese affiliate Rong Rong Energy is developing 1.6 GW of wind power across Guangxi's Baise region—one of southern China's largest renewable energy initiatives. The project comprises 12 mountainous wind farms spanning 5 counties, officially approved by Guangxi Energy Bureau in July 2024.

Advanced low-wind-speed turbines mounted on 160-meter concrete towers—the tallest in the region—with a customized "one turbine, one solution" approach optimizing each installation for complex mountain terrain.

Upon completion, the portfolio will generate over 3 billion kWh of clean electricity annually, establishing new technical standards for mountainous wind development in China.

Solar Portfolio

We operate 550 MW of solar generation capacity across multiple sites in China. This portfolio represents our direct involvement in renewable energy development and provides operational expertise in large-scale solar project management. The Chinese solar assets demonstrate our ability to deploy and maintain utility-scale renewable infrastructure, leveraging local manufacturing relationships and regulatory knowledge. This installed base serves as both a revenue-generating asset and a proving ground for solar technologies and operational practices that inform our North American project development strategy.

Key Projects & Achievements

With enhanced grid stability, significant carbon reduction, and optimized performance management as its core goals, the project addresses China's growing demand for clean, reliable baseload renewable power in mountainous regions.

Project Scale & Layout

Our Baise City wind portfolio in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region comprises 1,606 MW of installed capacity across 12 mountainous wind farms spanning 5 counties, with each project exceeding 100 MW capacity. This mega-scale development qualifies as a strategically designated wind power base under China's national renewable energy policy, featuring specialized installations optimized for Guangxi's complex mountain topography.

Technology Innovation

Our Guangxi portfolio features advanced low-wind-speed turbines with intelligent monitoring systems and innovative concrete towers reaching record-breaking 160-meter hub heights—the tallest in the region. Through our "one turbine, one solution" approach, we customize each installation to minimize land use, reduce costs, and maximize energy capture while setting new technical standards for mountain wind development in southern China.

Environmental and Social

This mega wind base effectively harnesses wind resources to reduce fossil fuel consumption, promoting both local economic development and environmental protection in Guangxi. Upon completion, the 12-project portfolio will deliver over 3 billion kWh of clean electricity annually to the regional grid, providing sustainable energy security while supporting China's carbon reduction goals.
